Sri Lankan High Protein Baked Oats

Sri Lankan High Protein Baked Oats

Ingredients

  • 2 black tea bags
  • 5-6 cardamom pods
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 inch knob ginger
  • 100g of pitted dates
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Cashews to garnish

Directions

  1. Start by making your chai: In a pot, combine a tea bag with bruised ginger, cardamom pods, a cinnamon stick, and cloves. Bring it to a boil, then pour the hot chai over the pitted dates and set aside to soak.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix all the remaining ingredients, then gently fold in the soaked dates and chai using a spatula.
  3. Pour the batter into a parchment-lined baking dish, sprinkle cashews on top, and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes until golden and set. Enjoy!
