And welcome to my kitchen! I was born in Sri Lanka and immigrated to the small town of Milton, Ontario with my family in 2001. After moving far away from our Sri Lankan community, my mum made sure we never forgot our roots by always cooking traditional dishes for the family each night. I now live in Toronto, and I’m alway trying to bring my siblings together by inviting them over to share some Lankan food I’ve whipped up, just as my mom used to do. Toronto is known for its diverse food scene, and I want to add to that by sharing Sri Lankan recipes that are easy enough for you to toss together at home and share with your friends and family!
