Strawberry Sherbet Milk

SWEET & CREAMY | DRINK

Strawberry Sherbet Milk is a delicious and creamy beverage made from blending strawberry jam, milk, and rose sherbet syrup together. It’s the perfect drink for when you want something to cool you down and satisfy your sweet tooth craving in the summer, but you aren’t looking for something overly sugary. This is a milk based drink sweetened with a rose sherbet syrup and actual chunks of strawberry jam. The secret ingredient is the chia seeds that elevates the texture of this drink.

TIPS & TRICKS

Tip #1: Soak your chia seeds in water for about 10 mins beforehand. Strain and then add to your drink as a last step.

Although Rose sherbet syrup is not the easiest item to secure and can be tricky to find, it is a very inexpensive syrup ranging from $6-$9. Once you purchase a bottle, it will last quite a while. I suggest checking your go-to south asian grocery store to find this syrup. I highly recommend choosing the Rossaro brand for your rose syrup in this recipe, thanks to its robust flavour and stunning colouring.

Can you make it vegan?

You can easily swap the whole milk with your go to milk alternative. I’d recommend almond milk as it pairs nicely with the sweetness of the syrup.
